Mature student who doesn’t act her age

I’m a lady in ‘her prime’, blogger and aspiring writer, on a mission to show that life can still be an adventure. I enjoy volunteering at Cogges Manor Farm, (home of Downton Abbey’s Yew Tree Farm), singing with Woapa (West Oxordshire Acadeny of Performing Arts) and am currently studying towards a BA(Hons) Open degree with the Open University.

Living with Lupus, but determined not to let it define me.

I have 2 wonderful sons, a long suffering husband and an adorable grandson. I have survived child bereavement, life threatening illness and battled clinical depression. I am now on a mission to prove that life is worth living, no matter what it may throw at you.

I am currently studying level 3 Myth in the Greek and Roman worlds, with the Open University. I write a blog for the Cogges Manor Farm website, link below, and  recently I produced a leaflet about the filming of Downton Abbey at Cogges. I also give guided Downton Abbey tours of the site.
